yep, that right people. i’m talking about KENDO!!! WOOT~~
well, first lesson back for 2011 and, heh, gotta tell you, IT WAS AWESOME!! XD
Well, at wrapped as it looks, its just a tiny bump along the skin which just hurts if touched ever so lightly and only feels like eating a thousand needles; so nothing to worry about. 🙂
Since it has been around a month since i last went to a kendo lesson, i felt like a granny doing the Sydney Surf marathon.Halfway through putting my armour on I was already sweating like a pig, but that was more of because of the stuffy air, the poisoning smell of the freshly painted floorboards and the non-breathable clothing which had to be at least 2-3 mm thick…possibly cotton…
Well, warm-up went smoothly as usual. We started off with a few relaxing stretches which I guess was a first lesson special, coz I have NEVER felt so relaxed from stretching in kendo (much less even do any proper stretches…). We got straight into business with around 1000 swings at least, some with jumping, some with screaming, some with immense tiring swings, some with all.
AND WHY IS IT THAT I GET PICKED ON BY THE MASTER EVERY LESSON TO YELL LOUDER?!!?!?! ITS NOT FAIR!!! SOMETIMES I SOUND LIKE A FRICKIN TOAD THE NEXT DAY!!
Free sparring was just great as I doubt I got any hits on any of my seniors which is kinda degrading, but u know….oh well. I’m aspiring to beat them someday!! =D
As for my wrist…my friend, you’re just gonna have to grin it and bear it, coz its just gonna keep getting harder and faster as you advance.
My body’s worn down, my brains gone fuzzy from not doing kendo for a month (hell, I almost put my pants on the wrong way…) and I’ve a cold pack which is not even cold now, but warm. I can feel it….its warmer than my arm…hmm…should I change it? …meh, cant be bothered…-_-…
